Interesting to see France and Israel conducting joint naval operations. Link from MSN.

Very interesting … even a little surprising …

a little training has never hurts anyone, is good for collateral relations, and you can hint to various degrees changes in policy to the mysterious hostile opponent.

Besides that, I would not see too much into it.

Cross training with allies or even other militaries is generally a good idea. You might even learn ways to do things "better", etc.

Nothing new as Israel often trains with NATO partner countries.

Both have trouble with Turkey. I'm surprised that Greece did not join in.

We had foreign exchange officers in many of our courses, etc., in the US Army when I was on active duty, '79-'90. Including Israel and Egypt. As well as Lebanon, Malaysia, Sudan, the ROK, some places in Africa, maybe even Yemen(?), etc. France(FFL) and the UK of course, even as instructors.
