I decided to dip my toe into Cold War gone hot gaming. I thought it would be a chance to see what the Odzial Osmy models were like too. I have been really impressed with the quality of both the sculpting and the casting. Easy to paint and inexpensive to buy I'm really taken by them.

More details on my blog showing the BAOR and Soviet forces so far:

They are smashing Elenderil, those Odzial Osmy models are very tempting. You have some very interesting stuff on your blog too, I joined your followers.

I love these 3mm figs. His detail is amazing for this scale. I have a couple of Napoleonic armies. Great for travel, affordable. Great selection from Pico.

They look good. Just a suggestion: You might want to mount the commander's vehicles on a square base to make them easier to find.

I see you have used the round bases. I am undecided if square or round are the best to use with 3mm moderns . Both serve the purpose you want . Your figures look great.

What rules are you using? I use the Panzer 8 rules. Simple and free and great to game with.

As far as mounting you command vehicles on a different base, I worry about headhunting by opponents. Making your command elements obvious has its drawbacks.

I'm using Fistful of Tows3 so command is less of an issue as the rules count cohesion to any vehicle you choose to designate in any particular turn. That said I'm marking the back of the bases so would mark command there. I'm using U.K. pennies as bases, cheap and easily available in the U.K. (who knew 😁)
