Thanks for posting. I would not worry too much. A lot of people and probably not too few elected representatives don't know a lot of things it would be thought would be good to know to do the job they were elected to do. Democracy is messy and a constant learning experience.

I can forgive not knowing Guam's status a lot more than Puerto Rico's.

I think the response was a funny way to draw a little attention and poke a fellow rep. Well done. Beats a nasty speech on the floor or a tour on TV to shame.

Kudos to the Guam National Guard for taking that initiative.

Yes the congresswoman in the article is a frequent subject of news stories highlighting her dangerous ignorance. Sadly, the other examples show she is not the only lawmaker so afflicted.

So glad the Guam National Guard is in Washington D.C.. Guam is only about eight thousand miles away; such a good use of tax payers money to federalize those troops and fly them half way around the world to do what exactly.
