… Attack Likely By 2030

"The world is likely to suffer a successful chemical, biological or so-called dirty bomb attack by terrorists over the next 10 years, the U.K. has warned, as Prime Minister Boris Johnson set out plans to overhaul British defense and foreign policy.

Under a blueprint for the next decade, the U.K. will cut tanks and some fighter jets, while bolstering its arsenal of nuclear missiles potentially by more than 40%.

Old news. When I worked at the county Emergency Management Agency back in the 1990s and 2000s, we conducted several tabletop and one active exercise using the dirty bomb scenario. Since we were close to the Anniston Army Depot when it stocked chemical weapons we exercised chemical reactions weekly. I actually design two Safe At Home coloring books that we gave to the schools. Every house was given weather radios, 3-day supply kit contents, plastic sheeting, tape and many other items. I had an over $50,000 USD a year budget to supply and inform the public on the threat.
So very old news in my area between Birmingham and Atlanta.six other counties had similar programs with my county budget being the smallest. Some counties even gave out gas masks to their residents.
