Here in UK it's Mothers' Day. My late mother used to bake a good pie.

Sorry, but then…

You should eat one in her memory.

Just not the same now that I don't work with the engineers. They did a serious Pi Day.

Disco Joe14 Mar 2021 9:03 a.m. PST

I prefer raisin or pumpkin custard pie.

I once told my ex, in jest of course, that my Mom's apple pie was better than hers. She was not amused.

My wife and I will be in Berkeley this afternoon, and I think that I will take h1er to FatApple's for coffee and the best marionberry pie anywhere.

Just checked their hours: open until 5 pm. That will work.

There's no Pi Day in the UK :-(

14.3.2021 today
no 31.4.2021

Mmmmmm, pie!

Oberlindes Sol LIC Supporting Member of TMP14 Mar 2021 6:34 p.m. PST

They were sold out of all pies by the time we arrived (about 2 pm)! But the rhubarb crumble and Kirschkuche were great with coffee.

On the inside of the cashier's screen was a full page of pi in about 14-point font. I don't know how many decimal places they had.

You are forgiven.
So it is an American pie for you in memory of those who have gone from us.

Thanks to Robert Piepenbrink, for PI-314 on the weight control program TMP link it was just coffee with ginger, but it's okay.
I can live of that, dancing at my height adjustable desk.

This is something that should be adressed, now that you left the EU.
You could introduce your special Pi Day on 31.4. and get rid of the 1.5.
As long as you don't call it May Day and declare it public holyday more or less everyone should be okay with it.

Shame there are only 30 days in April. Perhaps we in the UK could lose April Fool's Day and start April at the 2nd ?

Arjuna15 Mar 2021 6:12 a.m. PST

Shame there are only 30 days in April.

Of course there are!
Therefore I suggested to introduce a 31.4 and get rid of the 1.5.
You're absolutely right, you might as well give up 1.4.
Which in itself is a great idea, I have to remember in case we're in need of it ourselves.

But then again, what will you do with your fools?
Retrain to Mathematicians?

No easy answer, one has to admit.

Well … for me … it's Pi day everyday ! 🥧😁 Especially this time of year with Easter. Many of Italian/Eastern Euro decent in the US, make meat pies and cheese pies as well a special bread for this Holiday. I drive all over town to get the best[most like my Mom's & Aunt's] of each … pie 🍞😋

von Schwartz ver 221 Mar 2021 1:01 p.m. PST

You guys are giving me a headache, lets say to hell with it all and have a piece of pie, or for all the Brits out there, a piece of pi.
