Title Images: Male Wizard; Female Wizard; Rottweiler lineup. So I saw some injection molded Rottweiler dog figures on e-BayRottweiler dog figures on e-Bay. I have a soft spot for War Dogs, so I ordered two sets of four. I primed them with gray auto primer, in a rattle can. Then I looked up Rottweilers on the Internet to see their coloration. I discovered these dogs can be red in color! I did not go for that scheme, but I did use Antique Walnut urethane stain as a sealant, and it did give them a reddish sheen. As for scale, these toy(?) figures are on the large side, for 25mm – 28mm figures. They also work with 54mm Army Men figures, though they're on the smaller side with them. They have inspired me to write new rules for War Dogs for my Army Men rules. For those who might be interested, here is a link to them on e-Bay. Cheers! |

@ Sgt. Slag That's a nice find. You could paint them as mastiffs and leave the tails or as Rottweilers and dock them … or not according to preference. |

I painted the puppies, and the lady Wizard. A friend painted the male Wizard for me, around 25 years ago. My style is simple, fast, and GEtGW. I don't know if tails were docked in medieval times. Never thought of it. Thanks. Cheers! |

>>>>> I don't know if tails were docked in medieval times. Good point. Probably a late 19th / early 20th century thing. |
