I've got one of those Tomy 1-2-3 M60 hulls. For some reason I threw out the metal turret long ago, but since then I've stuck a 1970's Airfix Sherman turret on it. Makes a neat, little ersatz tank… ;-)

Nice.

What did you do for tracks?

I think I have some large rubber bands on it for now. I'll have to eventually make some replacements out of caulk & paper (like I'm doing for some badly abused 1/35 tanks I'm in the process of restoring.)
The basic process is to lay a length of track in a bed of plaster to make a mold, grease it well with mold release, smear in some black caulk (NOT 100% sil, stretches too much), smush in a length of drywall mesh, then a layer of paper over the top. Let sit for a few weeks so it cures fully, then remove & trim. (I don't think many will notice trimmed down Sherman tracks on a Mk2 Matilda… ;-)
