Hi, I am hoping that some of the experts on here might be able to help.

I am looking at buildings some models for a Mesopotamia campaign. I have experience of designing paper models for ships but am purchasing a 3D printer so am now looking at using that once I've designed them.

I am looking for any assistance in finding sources of photos or plans for the ships I intend to model.

The first one is a Cadmus class sloop. HMS Espeigle, Clio and Odin.
The second is a Fly class gunboat HMS Firefly.

Any help or pointers welcome!

Very interesting project! Whcih scale are you going to do them? 1/1800, surely……?

Wow. Thanks Armand. Lots for me to look through.

Valerio. Scale is a good question! I am a 15mm gamer so they will be for 15mm figures. A 1/100 ship is very big so I tend to model in 1/150 scale but I usually stretch the height of doors etc a little so 15mm figures don't look too big.
Here is a pic of a couple of ships I designed in paper for ACW battle Hampton Roads.

Armand…I just checked and that first link is to my post on papermodellers! I am now thinking of doing in resin instead of paper.

1x6000 Thankyou so much for those files. I can't believe you had a side plan of Espeigle! This will hope so much in getting that profile right and will help so much. Having something to reference the photos to will be a massive help and far more than I am used to starting with!

Awesome…and that is why TMP members are the best :)
