Has anyone seen these figures? The pictures look promising but hard to tell. From what I understand they are the old Wargames South range. How do they compare to Pendraken's range in terms of sculpt and size? Any insight is appreciated!

I have their figures but I don't have any Pendraken ones to compare. I think there was a comparison photo on their Facebook page but that was a couple of years ago so may no longer be there.

Captain Bob: What's your opinion on the figures? Crisp sculpts, good sculpting.

I do like the figures and seem more animated than Pendraken. Many poses which is always good. Faces look oversized initially but when painted look good. I haven't had any issues with detail on the figures.
The one negative is the rifle length is too short. They don't have a fixed bayonet either but I prefer that as they will eventually break off anyway.

Ah, the taste of Miliput is still on my lips…

I was the sculptor. Considering they were a gamble back in the day – and from memory did not sell that well – I'm surprised they are still being made after nearly 30 years.

All I have now is a single Prussian officer. I never used any of my own stuff!

If your figures are still being sold after nearly 30 years they are obviously quality ;)

Are you still sculpting? What other ranges have you done?

At the same time I was doing the Wargames South figures I did the Hovels range of figures and animals (bar the heavy cart set). Recently I've helped Warrior out updating and adding to their Napoleonics and I've offered to help out another Old School range.

I just do bits and bobs now when the fancy takes me. I couldn't do whole ranges now because job, family etc. I see my stuff turn up every now and again but it's mostly Hovels animals – this really surprised me!
