Does anyone know where I can find, or may be able to take themselves, a comparison shot showing a 6mm army next to a 10mm army? I'm trying to get an idea of how different the two actually look compared to each other.

6mm and 10mm are my favorite scales but I use them a little differently. For the most part, with 6mm I use for mass and 10mm I typically use the same as 15mm but with a smaller footprint. I find that 10mm require more effort to paint. That said, I prefer 10mm over 6mm. Its by far my favorite scale.

After seeing all the links I think I'm definitely leaning towards 10mm. I like the idea of the massive armies you can make with 6mm, but lack of manufacturers of 6mm fantasy miniatures means every unit will be made of only 2-3 sculpts. I like the idea of grabbing minis from multiple different manufacturers to diversify the look of armies and units. Also, 6mm may be a bit too small. I'm thinking that 10mm is a nice balance between size, detail, and being able to create armies that look like proper armies. Now I just need to find some good lines of 10mm fantasy dwarfs.

Some very good links. 10mm has come a long way. I think the best metal Dwarves are Eureka Anvil and Chaos dwarves. I am looking at getting some Copplestone dwarves soon. The best dwarves I have are actually printed and I got them from Excellent Minis. The details and proportions are excellent.

There are at least five 6mm fantasy miniature makers. Baccus, Irregular, Micro World, Wades Emporium, and Rapier. Adrian Arnold on the 6mm fantasy FaceBook Group is creating stl files of various 6mm fantasy items. 2D6 has Dark Age and Samurai. Heroics and Ros also makes Medievals. Irregular has some very nice individual figures in 6mm
