A L' Art de la Guerre Battle Report, A Classical of Indians
I am experimenting with armies that are maximum size by sacrificing the command section as much as possible. With this list, I have 3 included commanders, 2 on elephant, and 1 driving a chariot.

Enjoy

Classical Indians are a fun army.

So what do you think of running ordinary, included generals? It didn't seem to hinder you.

When the 1st 25mm Indians became available for WRG Ancients tournaments their opponents with European armies were wary because the Indians had a lot of infantry with longbows & 2hand swords supported by elephants & chariots, but the elephants could cause an Indian disaster if they failed a morale test, went "Rogue" & stampeded thru their own troops.

The ordinary included commanders wasn't too bad in this fight. But I had another with an army of Hoplites that it totally screwed them. Lost opportunities for flank charges for one thing.
With Indians, once a commander on an elephant is in combat, that combat doesn't last very long, so he is available again.
However, I do not, overall, recommend it. This was an experiment testing the possibilities.

The double dose of Darasi confused the troops, the official excuse for this should be Darasi did it!

The Samurais's see an awful lot of action, are those your troops PHgamer?

Yes, I am carrying forward the Larry, Darryl, and Darryl joke with my commanders.

Yes the Samurai are my latest edition. I had them painted by Fernando in Sri Lanka. For more on how that works refer to my blog post with a step by step. link

The reason they are being run so often is that my opponent across the ocean, likes them a lot.
I have already made jokes that some of the flags have fallen off and he should do some maintenance on his army.
