Hi all I'm listing a few painted minis on ebay and have had a number of enquiries from stateside, there is interest but that seems to ebb away when potential customers see the postage costs. The minimum I can get a single miniature across the pond for is 9.75 pounds, roughly 13.50 dollars via Royal mail! I realise it's extortionate and would love to offer a better rate with the security of tracking. There must be another way, anyone got any pointers? Cheers Ryan |

Parcel postage to the US is expensive. I had to send a client a seven kilo parcel of lead earlier this month. With insurance it came to over £80.00 GBP That was by Interparcel using FedEx. Going to FedEx direct would be over £200.00 GBP Also remember, anything valued at over £576.00 GBP (from memory) will be subject to customs import duty at the other end. It's one of those things you, or the client, has to suck up. |

Oh, in answer to your question. No there isn't another way. You have to pay some money. Jeez, your sending it, by air, over 3,500 miles (6000 miles to the west coast), delivered to the door at the other end. Your postage runs out at over 3.5 miles for a penny. How cheap does it have to get for you to be happy. Lol |

£9.75 GBP doesn't seem too bad to me. I sent a book to a friend in the US and it cost me nearly £30.00 GBP. I had to pay $55.00 USD postage on a book from the US recently. As Olicana said – one of you has to pay the postage. |

Offer free postage and add £9.75 GBP to the cost to each of your miniatures.. |

Rupert, thank you. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the last to spring to mind. |

Actually, that is a very good deal. It costs almost that, if not more for all but the smallest shipments within the USA now, sadly. |
