With just twelve more models to go, I thought I would post a sneak preview of the collection of 1:700th models designed to allow a series of Trafalgar games to be run with the chaps from the Devon Wargames Group in support of veteran charities, once the pandemic restrictions on social gatherings are relaxed.

The models are all from the Black Seas range from Warlord Games, with several conversions to cover some of the 80's and 64's and will eventually include all the ships present on the day including the unrated's from both sides.

Thanks to Warlord Games I am able to press on with completion of the collection plus further support for our charity raising efforts to come.

Thank you Barry, much appreciated. We are really looking forward to getting out of lockdown and getting them out on the table properly.

Cheers

As Barry said, an amazing amount of museum quality work. I've finished a little over a dozen Warlord ships and can testify to the amount of work and patience required for each and every one. I would have given up long ago if it hadn't been for your assistance and inspiring example.

Where did you get the bases?

carojon20 Feb 2021 8:25 a.m. PST

Thank you for your comments chaps, I look forward to showing you the collection when it's finished.

The bases are supplied by Fluid 3D and there is a linked post on the blog, in the right column – All at Sea Ship Bases and here in the link below

Will you use Black Seas rules for your game or another set?

carojon24 Feb 2021 3:34 p.m. PST

I won't be using Black Seas and I posted recently about possible contenders and my criteria and also the need to get back around the table with friends to try out various sets together with any house rules or other changes needed.

Hopefully that might happen later this year.

WoW! really nice job all around! Getting enough ships for something close to Trafalgar is a real accomplishment!

especially when they are all sooo pretty as well.
