Although interesting would the participants not be wearing greatcoats or some heavy coats since the battle took place in December or was that a warm year?

Congratulations to John for such an impressive spectacle, especially within the confines of a war game.

Some of the pictures give a real ‘feel' of the event, especially the one looking from the river towards the heights.

Whilst the troops are not all properly dressed for this winter battle it would be an extremely wealthy war gamer who could outfit all his/her armies with appropriately seasonal gear, even assuming they were available for purchase in the first place.
