Anyone know where you can find green stuff? I can't find it locally at any craft store nor the couple hobby shops that are around my area. Are there alternatives? Michael's or Hobby Lobby have to carry something similar, right? Thanks |

You can get it online very easily, if you are ok with that. In the U.S Noble Knight games link for example. In the UK I just go to the Warhammer shop or any online supplier, even Amazon. |

The term "Green Stuff" is slang. So, it might not refer to any particular product. Most folks use it for a two part epoxy putty that has the name "Kneadatite".
This is the product used to make the masters for many classic figures by folks like Citadel and Gamesworkshop. It is also very useful for making ad-on parts or figure conversion. This is the company page: link And it is widely available in hobby, craft, and hardware shops. Or online, such as Amazon: link |

The first time I got Green Stuff was from Squadron Shop. That tube filler is gone now along with the shop. The two part epoxy was new to me in the late '80's |

Green stuff tends to be a bit elastic, so you need to keep pushing it to the basic shape you want and then make the details as it hardens. There is another product called ProCreate which is the same type of thing, but grey and not too much elasticity. kraftmark.biz Amazon sells it. Matthew |

If you need brown stuff, look for 'gas tank repair' kits in the hardware store. Same 2-part stuff as the 'hobby' version, but cheaper… |

The Other "Green Stuff" If you are old, like me, the term "Green Stuff" was originally used as slang for a one part putty. The classic was Squadron Green Putty:
This is a solvent based putty, it dissolves the surface of plastic a bit, allowing to stick quite well. But it did shrink as it cured. However, the warning: Highly flammable liquid and vapor. Causes serious eye irritation. Causes skin irritation. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. May damage fertility or the unborn child. Suspected of causing cancer. Now that the Squadron Shop is closed, this label may be difficult to find. But by checking the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) it contains: Ingredient C.A.S. No. % by Wt Talc 14807-96-6 15 – 40 Toluene 108-88-3 10 – 30 Titanium Dioxide 13463-67-7 7 – 13 Acrylic Polymers * 7 – 13 Magnesium Carbonate 546-93-0 3 – 7 Benzoate Esters * 3 – 7 Butyl Alcohol 71-36-3 1 – 5 Rheological Additive * 1 – 5 Chlorite (Mineral) 1318-59-8 < 2 Ethylbenzene 100-41-4 < 0.2 Benzene 71-43-2 < 0.05 So, making your own, might be difficult, however, it was also too difficult for a hobby shop, so it is simply a 3M product with a new label. That is 3M Acryl Putty, 05096, Green link
