"Carl von Clausewitz (1780–1831) is best known for his masterpiece of military theory On War, yet that work formed only the first three of his ten-volume published writings. The others, historical analyses of the wars that roiled Europe from 1789 through 1815, informed and shaped Clausewitz's military thought, so they offer invaluable insight into his dialectical, often difficult theoretical masterwork.

Among these historical works, one of the most important is Der Feldzug von 1799 in Italien und der Schweiz, which covers an important phase of the French Revolutionary Wars. What are you doing to me! Yet another title to buy, well, actually, in my case another two since I was not aware of Volume 1. I have his 1796 Italian Campaign.

But I suppose one should not moan about too many Napoleonic titles being published. LOL

Chris and I are both wargamers, and you might want to check out his bbb group. groups.io/g/bloodybigbattles

Chris regularly posts on TMP and there are free scenarios for the 1796 book on his web group.

I have developed some games based upon 1796 and the 1799-1800 campaigns for work. In the mid to longer term I plan to upload those for gamers to use.
