Nobody makes 6mm US airborne figures for the modern US army correct?

Rakkasan11 Feb 2021 11:00 a.m. PST

What differences do you think need to be highlighted at 6mm?
Modern US airborne infantry wear generally the same kit as their mechanized or light counterparts; any differences are not noticeable at 6mm.
Once they drop their chutes, troopers in the 82nd look just like the Soldiers from the 10th Mountain or the 1st Cav.

Have you checked GHQ? As Rakkasan said our kit is the same. [I was a Rakkasan '80-'83, Rifle/Mortar Plt Ldr & S3 Air] 🚁

That's half the beauty of 6mm!

I use my WW2 Soviet infantry for the cold War. Who can even tell?

Not exactly. Unlike WWII, the 82nd Airborne wears pretty much the same uniforms and uses the same weapons and equipment as the rest of the Army, so unless you are looking to model when they still are kitted out pre, during and immediately post drop, regular US Army figures should suffice.

Yep … Been both Air Assault & Mech '79-'90 … same stuff for all … GHQ has them … link

OK was just wondering since Heroics and Ros makes WWII British airborne.

US & UK Airborne wore different uniforms than the other units. The US Airborne uniforms changed some as the war progressed. You can see it in the HBO series BoB. On now on the History Channel …

As Legion 4 said above, in WW2 the US and UK paratroopers wore different uniforms than their leg counterparts.
I don't know when things changed but there is no visible difference that i have found between airborne troopers and line soldiers in Korea or Vietnam.
