I've had a few taskforce to fleet game scale spaceship models for a long time now, but last year I started to get serious about building a collection. (I needed one more, after all. 1/48 aircraft, N scale trains, 28mm sci-fi, and 1/2400 WWII just aren't enough toy collections.) Since I kind of like writing my own sci-fi fluff the collection is a bit eclectic. Since I am a child of the 80s old Citadel castings feature prominently. Since space ship miniatures on a table look a lot less convincing to me than 28mm miniatures on a table surrounded by terrain I shopped in planets and starfields. RAFM/Traveler, QT Models, Homebuild

With a bit of luck more will be along soon. (Which is good, as I have a campaign I want to run.) |

Yes nice job. Got me thinking about some of my starship photos. Perhaps bringing them up a level such as you have done. |

Very cool. They look like screen shots from some sci-fi movie. |

^^^Thank you Captain Z! ^^Thank you dmebust. :) I prefer to take "honest" shots of models, but I find I'm better able to model a dusty street in a frontier town than I am to model the final frontier. It's just so big . . . and so full of stars. Photo-shoppery solves the problem tidily. ^Thank you Paul! In the end, it's a basically a mat job, much like those shots. After all, the ships in movies are models just like mine. Only bigger and more detailed. |
