As a general comment about wargaming, I always have to shake my head in wonder at people who would be in the same boat (see what I did there – this being about naval wargaming…) as the author of this blog post, who states "If I have to do a lot of thinking especially in respect to movement and at whom I can to shoot, the game will just lose me."

I in no way have an affinity for [overly] complicated wargames, but determining at whom to shoot isn't a decision I consider a problem in a game. I actually like a game that makes the players think.
