This is based on a true story! I remember reading about this famous fight involving Miyamoto Musashi, author of the Book of the Five Rings and founder of the Nito-Ryu style, back in the 70s. It will be interesting to see how they depict this as a movie as the actual incident was Musashi just trying to escape with his life more than fighting. Of course escaping an ambush of 400 men is pretty impressive.

To be precise, the movie "Victoria" was filmed in a single, uninterrupted take for 140 minutes (it worked on the third attempt). So the claim for "first" reduces this to "action" or "action sequence". Looking at the trailor it does not look like it was an uninterrupted take. If its just the sequence it may be that "1917" claims that honor.

That said, it looks like a movie that I want to see. I doubt, however, that it will be "the perfect Valentine's Day movie" as advertised on the page, at least not for people with a working relation, unless your partner is a kindred spirit.
