To those of my generation, the first thing which "Biafra" brings to mind is pictures of starving children. However, the ground war did involve an interesting variety of troops and tactical situations. One side had a large, plodding army lacking in officers/command, with troops that were poorly motivated and often high; the other side showed boldness and motivation, but lacked supplies and were often starving, and had the support of mercs who ran the gamut from awful to dashing. On a scale of 0 to 10, what is your interest in gaming the Biafran War on the tabletop?

I love gaming niche conflicts especially those in lesser known theatres. I wanted to collect and wargame the Biafran conflict but the more I researched it the less appealing it became. The Biafrans fought hard but the Federal forces had such a superiority in equipment and manpower. If not for their own incompetence, it probably would have been over sooner.
