What are the odds that you will purchase whatever the next WWII ruleset is released? (Land warfare only.)

If, as is possible, it is "O Group" by DCR Brown, 100 percent.
Otherwise, approaching zero.

Depends on the scale, do I have rules very similar, does it have a unique trick or take on things. Definite, guarded, maybe.

Very Low, i will make an effort to study them to see if there is any interesting ideas, but rules selection often depends on what your fellow gamers are using, or if you want to try a new scale. Skirmish rules may be the exception if a new set of rules are unique in some manner.

0%. Not a big fan of WW II gaming (not a "rivet counter"). Used to play CD III rules, with 6mm stuff, back in the 90's. I only play Army Men games, and fantasy, now. Cheers!

100% if battalions or brigades or maybe even divisions are the level of command focus, 0% otherwise.

0%. losing interest in WWII right now so I'll only be playing what I already own/know or what games other people are running.

About 0%. I have more rules than time, and commercial sets tend to be too long to be of use to me.

Probably pretty low. Most new rule sets seem to be a variation on a previous theme with some new and somewhat creative ideas on things like unit activations. However, I don't find unit activation games very interesting.

Heck, I won't even "upgrade" my Flames of War armies to V4. grin
I'm perfectly happy with V3.
Once I find rules that I like, I feel no need to find something new and shiny.

But Bobby Fisher did want to upgrade chess to Fisher Random, but I'm no Bobby Fisher.

I'm 90% for trying out 'O' Group when it's released.

The orders system, at the involved level of command, for Companies to a Battalion (reinforced), seems much less random by design, and for generating interactive decision-making each turn.

Unsure yet how multiplayer will work, other than dividing players up at the Co. HQ command points, and by prioritizing each side activations granted by/from the overall leader (by the Bn. HQ player)?……though this would encourage and reinforce an actual, functioning "CoC".

The rules sound intriguing…..and up front, they actually request that players generate an initial battle plan…..Hallelujah!……could even see that plan-phase being done pre-game, before the players actually show up for a game, but then ready to get to it.

Anyway……
