I've now worked out how to create, save and share custom map layers, so I've started embedding maps in my ECWtravelogue entries.

An example, York link

Those that have a self guided tour route also have travel directions link

For the ECWtravelogue in general see link

Thanks for the picts and map. My stay in York and late afternoon visit to Marston Moor were highlights of my long ago visit to Great Britain. I'd have visited "Black" Tom's tomb had I known. He is one of the few Parliamentarians for whom I have much respect.

One of my favourite cities in the world.

A lovely city, for sure.

How I wish a director could get to grips with a war movie about The York March and the battle of a Marston Moor. Do a top quality job of it for war movie enthusiasts.

Thanks for sharing KYPD.

I have good memories of visiting Marston Moor for the 350th anniversary in 1994 and spending a week in York.

Thanks all. I've quite enjoyed editing and updating my older ECWtravelogue blog posts; if we can't get out of the house to visit these places due to the pandemic, it's nice to at least have some pictures to get wistful about
