"The new Air Force B-21 stealth bomber will soon take to the skies for its first official test flight in coming months, yet the now fully-built next-generation platform is still poised to benefit from continued innovations and yet-to-exist technologies. Its missions will need operational command and control, its weapons systems and computing will need new technologies and enhancements and its stealth coating and configuration will need to be preserved and upgraded over time…" Main page link Amicalement Armand |

I'd think the B-21 is just part of the tip of the iceberg … Of new high tech yet very expensive weapons of war. The US has the $, they just have to stop giving it away to many nations, causes, etc., that really are not helping the common American. E.g. 10 mill to Pakistan for gender studies … I'm not even sure what that is ? But it may be a good thing ? However, not with all that is going on here at home. |

Gender studies are an attempt to break the strangle hold of old men in the villages. Any change to empower other voices, either women or younger men, are money well spent to open out the society. |

Thank you for that information T Corret. But as I said it may be a good thing. However, IMO, and others., that should not be a priority for the USA at this time. Plus I'm sure that will be an uphill battle to accomplish anywhere near "acceptable" results in a religious fundamentalist dominated society. That has been that way for centuries… I'm a bit skeptical. But again it has no place on a priority list right now with the "challenges" the USA faces at this time. From what I read/heard in the media it was not the only item. In the Relief Package that should have been set aside or shelved completely … Many of these items at this time does not help those in the USA that really need the help. I'm a bit of a realist when it comes to this sort of funds being sent to many other nations. When the USA is out of it's current "situation", then we can consider gender studies in Pakistan and anywhere else. If someone thinks it's really funds well spent. I certainly don't. If I had a nickel for every weapon that was going change warfare forever invented during my lifetime, I'd be driving a Maserati. LT |
