Finished 32 out of 48 figures, so far: Link1, Link2. I will finish up the remaining 16 figures, this week.

These mini's are too detailed for my liking. I ignored a lot of details, as I wanted to get them out of the painting queue -- after seven years, they needed to be pushed out! Besides that, I only paint to GEtGW levels, so they will work, for me.

After that, I need to mount some Caesar 1/72 Goblins onto the Schleich Fruit Bats (sadly, OOP), I bought a few years ago, to form the reconstituted Goblin Giant Bat Cavalry (used rubber-like toy bats, previously; badly needed to upgrade the Bat mounts…). I've got the Bats mounted, but the Riders are off. One prototype is complete, and it is a fantastic upgrade: the Fruit Bats needed nothing, except a mount, and a Rider…

After that, it will be census time: I either have 180, or 220 figures, total, in the Goblin Horde; with a 10:1 creature-to-figure ratio, that means I have 1,800-2,200 Goblins in my horde. Need to nail it down, first, then put together a mass battles game, where they can all have a little fun. To date, my Goblins have always gone down in inglorious defeat. Hoping the new additions will rally their (weak) courage, moving victory to within their (dim) sight, if not their (feeble) grasp!

I recently finished off my Dwarven Army, including a massive Chariot. Perhaps a little, short Demi-Human vs. short Humanoid action will be called for? The Stumpies may be outnumbered, but they're rarely outgunned. I have an as yet, un-bloodied group of Lizardmen on Giant Lizards Cavalry who are chomping to get some warm flesh to eat (talk about, "a horrid feast"…). Perhaps Goblin Sushi will be on the menu? Cheers!

Wow! That's a lot of Warg riders! I really like that range. My kids got me some of the Balrogs, Uruk Hai and Minotaur's for Christmas. I still have about 30 boxes give or take to paint. I will buy some more. I may paint Elves box 3 sets next though. They are excellent!

Thanks.

John

You have to love having warg riders, Hope they see action soon. As for goblins going down in inglorious defeat, isn't that what they are for? and what makes goblins fun?

Well… Sort of. I usually end up playing the evil forces in my BS games. I am growing weary of always doing so poorly (the conspiracy theories are looking more, and more, attractive and believable). I play the underdogs, after all. I'd like to see the underdogs actually do well, for a change.

The Goblin army is getting a number of upgrades, so my hope is that they will perform at least, respectably, for a change. My hope hasn't died yet, but it is on life-support, and it has been for a while… "Get away from that wall plug!" LOL! Cheers!
