Looking for pre-Mongol or post-Mongol medieval Russians – especially good looking heavy cavalry and steppe cavalry.

Aside from what's on offer from Old Glory (not a fan of them minis) who else makes them?

And while I'm here is there a date when the heavy cavalry started using bows? I've not found any solid info in the books Ive read but am guessing its a post-Mongol developemnt?

THANKS GUYS!

Thank you for replies. I like the Gripping Beast.

Fireforge look good too – anyone know what the resin is like? Is it like hard plastic or something different?

Resin is indeed like a hard plastic. It is hard to cut, and you have to be careful to not sand it without a mask or breathe the dust into your lungs.

You are right, the Russian heavy cavalry began to actively use the bow in battle after the Mongol invasion.

Here are the nice Russians for the 13th century:

A bit early and not cheap, but mighty fine miniatures. Sculpt and cast are a++.

For medieval Russians, Fireforge++.
