Does anybody know where I can pick up Viking ships for either 6mm or 10mm (Could probably use a 10mm for 6mm). This could be metal, resin, plastic, cardboard. Might use in upcoming game, depends on rules. Thanks. J. Any comments welcome as to quality etc |

I thought Irregular Miniatures made 6mm Longships but can't check as their website seems to be down. I don't know about quality as we decided on a different scale so never bought any. |

H&R do a variety in 6mm link Pictures can be seen here link Note – he says they were originally from Kremlin Miniatures and the figures are a different style to usual H&R. Comparison of the figures (rather than ships) here link The Baggage Train does a 10mm ship link |

I t does depend what you want 6mm or 10mm … they are quite different sizes I think … If you are looking for 10mm, in addition to the above, the old Heller 'Draken Oseberg' 1:180 model comes and goes from model shops. I have a number of the issued by Smer which I use with 15mm figures, though actually thay are pretty much spot on for 10mm
It is a little bit shorter in length than the Baggage Train's model (which I also have) – and that may be an advantage for you. Peter Pig also does one of a similar size (6 inches) and Essex do one for use with 15mm figures (which is smaller than the 10mm ones, being more of a 'marker' than a scale model) Phil |
