This month's (January 2021) Wargames Illustrated features another free give away on the cover, a sprue of roughly 12mm scale ACW figures from Warlord.

On the sprue you get 10 strips, each of 10 figures marching with muskets upright, one cannon and its attached gun crew, one mounted officer and some suitable bases. These are intended for the Black Powder Epic Battles rules.

A strip of the figures is shown here:

being painted as Union.

So far the only strips available are a mixture of kepi and slouch hats so they can be painted as either Union or Confederate. The magazine says that the basic set will be sold at £80.00 GBP for 24 such sprues so that works out to 2,400 infantry, 24 guns and 24 mounted officers which I calculate as 30 figures for £1.
The mounted officers could also be painted as temporary cavalry, until the real cavalry figures arrive. Wargames Illustrated says that Zouaves will follow and there is a promise of a personality pack featuring Robert E Lee and General Meade.
I have to say that I am tempted!

It also suggests that if these take-off, we might see a Napoleonic set in the future.
