OMG! Those buildings clearly aren't right for Russia. And Russia isn't even now in the top 10 for world corn production ( let alone in 1942) so seeing a corn field in Russia at that time would be extremely unlikely. |

One would think they were playing FOW or something |

Those tanks really are 'mudguard to mudguard'. I know. FOW is such a silly game. I don't understand how people can enjoy such an inaccurate, unrealistic set of rules. Might as well make pew pew noises and shoot marbles to determine casualties. If you want a realistic WW2 Combat experience I suggest you give the Combat Storm Leader Panzer Battles rules a try. They're a new set coming out in 2021 and will feature realistic ranges, realistic ballistic performance, realistic armor durability (they've even rated armors on tanks made at different factories), a realistic turn sequence ( featuring 23 separate steps), and rules to prevent tanks from bunching up in an unsightly and unrealistic fashion. |

Thanks for posting your AAR. Hope it was a fun game. On another note… "If you want a realistic WW2 Combat experience I suggest you give the Combat Storm Leader Panzer Battles rules a try. They're a new set coming out in 2021 and will feature realistic ranges, realistic ballistic performance, realistic armor durability (they've even rated armors on tanks made at different factories), a realistic turn sequence ( featuring 23 separate steps), and rules to prevent tanks from bunching up in an unsightly and unrealistic fashion." The "realism" of combat will never be replicated on a game table. Sounds like Tractics, written by PhD engineers for PhD engineers, difficult to play for the masses. |

Er, I think there may have been a hint of satire in Bede's comments All the best for the New Year! Phil |
