Don't think I've found nicer bases and better service than I've gotten from Litko 3mm bases over the last couple of years. However, I am trying to match some thicker bases on some painted and mounted armies I received lately.

Anyone know who makes a 4mm or so base, perhaps 5mm?
Same as Litko, I'd need them to be cut to some of the standard wargames sizes.

My alternative plan was to raise the height of my supply of Litko 3mm bases by about 1mm with magnetic adhesive bottoms [which would also help them travel easier].

Thanks in advance!

An alternative: stick two layers together, using Wood (PVA) Glue. The Wood Glue joints are typically stronger than the joined materials. It also dries within minutes, when used with wood: can be sawed or sanded in 15 minutes. Apply it thinly, evenly, across the entire joint, for the quickest, strongest, bond. Cheers!

Stalkey, I'd go with the magnetic base bottoms. I do that. However, there is a caveat. Glue those babies to the plywood, don't depend on the adhesive backing. A little Zap and you're good to go.

Stalkey, part of the problem is mdf as supplied can vary in thickness. Oredered in smaller batches 3 mm (1/8") one can get anywhere from 3 to 3.6 mm. I imagine larger companies such as litko have locked in sources..

Just a thought to complicate matters.
