So I'm just getting around to painting my first Hundred Year War figures and I see that padded armor is all the rage. I had two questions about them. #1 What are the most common colors you use? #2, do you go for uniform units all in the same color or do you mix the colors up within the units. Cheers. |

Majority a cream or tan color with some muted reds, blues, yellows greens and tawney (in that order of prevalence). The only uniform item in my units are red or white crosses for English and French respectively. |

Thanks Prince Albert! The colors you mention are pretty much what I see in modern art covering the period. The most common for the English are White, Cream, Tan and medium Brown. The French more often are in Blue Green and Red. Some of the French are seen halved in two colors. I appreciate the input. |

I would go for a 'linen' colour around magnolia, cream, light brown, off-white, dirty grey. It is also possible that some fabric armours were painted or dyed in the livery or national uniform colour – try a faded or pastel version of the livery. Barry |

Thank you Druzhina, as always! I just picked up my first couple of boxes of the "Agincourt French Infantry" from the Perrys and the insert inside was most helpful. Cheers again to all. |
