Years ago I was researching the colors for this regiment. I remember reading that the colors went with the unit to Bremen, but returned to HC. That they did not come to N. America. Is this correct?

I don't know why figure manufacturers can't seem to make a period drum that even comes close to being correct in size. Black Hussar makes a nice one, but I can't think of any others. The one in these photos would certainly result in a lot of inadvertent rim shots

I really like the way the painter shaded the cloth bags of the mitres. You don't often see that.

Fifteen flags were captured at Trenton which suggests each of the three regiment had its full quota of flags. The Rall Regiment (then named von Trumback) concocted a story about recapturing its flags in South Carolina in 1779.

Not sure if this reflects current scholarship, but there is some discussion about the Hessian flags here: PDF link
