…China Sea "The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Southern Theater Command on Tuesday warned away a US warship that trespassed the South China Sea, leading analysts to say the PLA has again demonstrated its control over the region and ability to safeguard national sovereignty and security. US destroyer USS John S. McCain trespassed into waters near China's Nansha Islands without the authorization of the Chinese government, and the PLA Southern Theater Command organized naval and aerial forces, and warned and expelled it, said Senior Colonel Tian Junli, a spokesperson at the PLA Southern Theater Command, in a statement…" Main page link Amicalement Armand

Laughable. Frankly I'd prefer not to be reading rubbish propaganda from the Global Times which is part of the propaganda arm of the Chinese Communist Party. I'd ask Tango to be a bit more discerning when it comes to news sources regarding China. There are still some legitimate news sources on China but the Global Times is not one of them. |

I once claimed to have expelled a Chinese warship from the local pond. No one cared. |

Alternative 'imformation / mis-information' IS valid. In my late teens, I used to listen to Moscow Radio…NOT because I thought it was accurate, LOL! … but as a 'different Take' on World Events'. If you confine yourself to your own preferred 'News'media, you restrict your comprehension of of what others may be hearing. YOU do not have to believe it… but, you get an idea of what others might. In the U.K, MY preferred Newspaper, when I bought one, was the 'Daily Mail'…often viewed as being laughably 'right wing'…nowadays, I think it has 'gone downhill', but, 20 – 30 years ago, it seemed much more informed than the absolute 'rubbish' in 'The Sun'. (Remember "Gotcha!" in The Falklands War?). :( I still wouldn't wipe my **** with 'The Sun'…BUT it sells more copy in the U.K. …it is cheaper! Tango's post title says "Claims"… |
