I've been working up to Polish Winged Hussars for more than 30 years. Having recently built up a Swedish Army for the Thirty Years War, I have finally started to build a Polish Army as opponents for them. I, of course, started with the famous Hussars. You can read about how I have begun to realise my miniature ‘Husaria' in my latest blog post: link

Great project! TAG's Poland-Lithuania range is excellent. |

It should be a great looking army when you are done. |

My Polish army used Hinchliffe and Essex for the Winged Hussars. Spectacular looking army, but nobody else wanted to do Renaissance! |

Thanks @JanissaryAga! – I think that I will be leaning heavily on TAG for my Polish troops. They do have a great range. Hoping to also use some from Warfare miniatures new Eastern Europe ranges. Thanks @79thPA – I hope so! That can be a challenge @Joihn the OFM. I am lucky that I already have an opposing army (Swedes) to use with them. At least this way I can put. whole game on at my local club (when such things happen again!). |

Building Polish army for 1620's gives you plenty of opportunities to play against all enemies: Turks and Tatars from 1620-1621 and 1634, Swedes from 1621-1629, Cossacks from 1625 and Muscovites from 1632-1634 wars. |

I have been building a Polish army for the mid century Cossack uprising. The cavalry are complete and are mainly from TAG figures with the exception on the winged Hussars from Warlord. TAG really do make some great figures. I have also completed the artillery and the infantry will be finished by the end of the year, Here is an image with from left to Right, Polish cossacks, Noble Levy, Pancerni cossacks, Winged Hussars and Reiters. The winged hussars are only about 8 figures out of the nearly 120 cavalry, to as to not over-represent them. I may add another unit of them later, as they do look good.
As Kadrinazi mentioned there are many enemies for them to fight against. I have the Cossacks and Tatars. I also plan on an Ottoman army early in the new year. Here is a link to the blog link |

That is a good point, @Kadrinazis. I think I might look at doing an Ottoman force next. That is a glorious looking force, @Martin. I will follow your Ottoman adventure with interest. |
