I was inspired by a fellow blogger to write about "The Allure of simple wargaming". In my post you can read about my modifications of Black Powder that make it a simpler, quicker and more believable game (at least to me). I also use said rules in two small battles. Yes, you get 2-for-1 and you don't even have to sign anywhere or buy anything. Isn't that great? Take me to the battle reports already! |

Great thoughts and thanks for sharing – have just played some Black Powder Napoleonics using 6mm and I really like them! |

Thanks Frederick. Are you using any house rules aside from scale adjustments? |

The 2x2 Rules AARs and comments on the blog are worth reading as well! |

Thank you Durban Gamer. The 2x2 rules have certainly grown on me. I played a couple of 2x2 games over the past month and even tried out some campaign mechanisms. Their scale and speed work really well for "campaign in a day" type actions. |
