These vehicles look terrible, not the paintwork but the finish the print layers are so obvious! Everyone has personal tastes but these wouldn't get a place in my armies. The newer ‘resin' prints on the other hand look great!

I guess the technique has evolved with time and we are after all seeing some very rare/unusual vehicles here and at a high magnification. I wonder if they are still in production in this form?

It does seem a bit early in the war for all that "Zimmerit". But asides from the anachronism, what about the colour scheme? Looks very pre war to me, but I make no claims to any expert knowledge here.

Deadhead the two tone paint scheme is correct for the invasion of France 1940, the directive to go all panzer grey wasn't issued until July 1940. Virtually all vehicles were two tone for the French campaign but the two colours were so close they were nigh on indistinguishable especially once dusty, probably why dispensing with the brown occurred :).
