Pardon the poor photos, but I thought I'd toss up some of my test-prints of the Grenzer Games Imperial Roman Legionnaires. These were printed on an Elegoo Mars Pro, using Elegoo's standard grey resin. These are my first "human" prints, as I mainly have done 1/300 aircraft and 1/285 vehicles.
They're probably considered 18mm in my mind, as they are roughly 15mm to the eyes. The proportions are really nice though, especially for someone like me that prefers a more "realistic" sculpting style. I also picked up some terrain on MyMiniFactory to try printing on the Creality FDM. I'm going to do the tents and barricades in resin, but the ramparts on the FDM printer. I may try to upscale some to match Victrix in 28mm, and see how they work out!

They look like they will do nicely, but a wash would help the details pop on the photo. |

Yeah, after I get some of the other command figures printed, I intend to inkwash a few for pictures. These are just from some of my orientation/support tests, as I'm figuring out the best arrangements for printing my Legion. I can fit about 30 figs on my build-plate at a time, or 50 shields, so just trying to calculate optimum print times. |

Cool. What layer height are you using? |

.04mm I've stuck with that on both my Mars Pro, as well as the Photon S, and had great results. Comes in just under 3:11 for a sheet of 28 Legionnaires. I actually get a "cleaner" finish out of the Elegoo, but the Anycubic wins on print-speed. I've been playing around with both, so will be printing shields/terrain on the Anycubic, and figures on the Elegoo. |

My test prints came up well, the detail is quite fine, so it should scale up well. |

Just starting to get paint on mine. I did a quick black wash to take a look at the detail and was extremely impressed. Proper paint job tomorrow |

0.4? That's interesting, I've been going with 0.1 (which admittedly might be overkill) and 0.2, but that's to try to produce masters which is a bit more demanding than figures for gaming with if time and efficiency are bigger considerations. |

That's 0.04mm, not 0.4mm. I've gone down to 0.025mm layers, but any lower than that and the quality does not increase noticeably. I use 0.02mm for character minis, but 0.04mm is just fine for troops. |

Yes indeed, I meant 0.0X in each case. 0.4 layered prints wouldn't be too pretty. |
