I tip my hat to those brave American and other Allied troops who fought the Germans on Dec. 16th, 1944 and beyond, in Belgium.

A lot of our troops gave their lives, were injured, or had to suffer through the freezing rain and snow in one of the coldest Winters in memory back then, in order to liberate Europe.

A perfect time to run a little skirmish encounter, small to large battle, and/or read some anecdotes or a book about the events there.

AND, for you aerial gamers, don't forget, the anniversary for Operation Bodenplatte is just around the corner.

It's also Ludwig van Beethoven's birthday!

I remembered it and posted something on FB about it. It also helped that I am currently reading Beevor's book about the battle.
