If in the course of daily life, one neglects to come upon the Poll Suggestion phase, and thus misses the opportunity to add a sensible option to a given poll, should that option be added to subsequent parts of the same poll? Assume those suggestions are posted within the time frame of the active poll.
Example, my own: Best Narrators is currently running, now in Part 2. I noticed a favorite of mine yesterday Part 1, Grover Gardner, was not among the options. Why not fold in that reasonable option into later sets?
Possible responses:
a) who cares, the polls are thumb twiddling and don't even mean anything to those interested in the topic. They are not scientific, nor even really informative so arguing for integrity here is stupid.
b) technical issues make that impossible
c) editors should not have to browse the Polls Talk hunting for late editions and then be forced to make a determination as to their suitability.
d) if your option didn't get suggested in the poll phase it wasn't important enough to win anyway.
e) if you missed it, you should spend more time here looking around and click on a sponsor or two while you're at it.
f) what, add a final page of late suggested entries at the end? We have a custom/tradition here: follow it
g) get stuffed, I don't like change.
h) I'm not going to read all these so I'll put an answer that fits into one of the above categories and introduce it as if it's entirely new.
i) some combination of two or more of the above
