When unboxing a new project, do you find yourself wrapped up in admiring the new project?

LOL! Love the dog! Hilarious! He looks like he is enjoying himself, way too much!

Yes, I do. For a while… Then I assemble/base them, prime them, and into the painting queue they go… How long they stay in the queue is the problem. I just finished a couple of figure sets which I acquired 25 years ago, and I began painting them, around 23 years ago.

I've been bitten by the painting bug, again, so I hope to make great progress. I have some sets which have been in the painting queue now, for over five years. I plan on getting a lot of figures painted, and out of the queue within the next several months. Cheers!

How'd that pooch get wropped up like that in first place ?

Anyway, my rule on 'admiring' figures:
Never pick up a miniature, unless:
A – It's for sale, you're thinking of buying it
A(2) – Going thru Lead Mountain, wondering 'What _do_ I have in this box ?

B – You have paintbrush or eXacto knife in other hand, and are ready to start work

C – It's finished and mounted, you're playing a game, or jus admiring
C(2) – you're telling someone 'This is how I'm going to paint this…'

Not that I ain't broken these rules…
