Hi, I have an interest in wargaming the South African Border in 3mm & 6mm, I have the above paints but I have a question. Whats the best way to use the paints? Airbrush or using a paint brush? Much appreciation. Jeff |

I used the Hataka acrylics for French OD on an EBR-90 model. It was not a great experience. I thinned with regular water, & spray performance wasn't the best IMHO. If I ever try again, I'm going to try using something like Vallejo acrylic thinner or Mission Models. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL! I never tried brush painting, so I'm not sure how well that will work. If they have an orange top, they're lacquer based and best for airbrushing, blue top is best for paint brushing and red top are water based acrylics. Depending on the type of Hataka paint will determine the best approach. Lacquer and water based acrylics are two distinct types. link |

I bought Mission's Have Glass for hand brushing thin coats.I like it.I think it was the only Have Glass that was OK for hand brushing. |

Cheers, I'll try airbrushing @ 40% paint and 60% Hataka thinners. Jeff |
