I am reminded of the 1973 Arab-Israeli war, when some Egyptian SAM 2 operators used their missiles on a flat trajectory in an attempt to hit Israeli tanks attacking their positions on the west bank of the Nile (PS: they all missed!) Missiles are expensive, but are still cheaper than the target they are trying to destroy, or the ship they are defending. |

There are lots of ways to calculate the cost of these missiles. This article didn't describe which method they use, or specify that they used the same method for each missile. So why are these numbers any better than the numbers on wikipedia? |
