Very nice! I really like this range of figs. They made me break down and buy a load of 1/72 fantasy. Have you seen the newest pack of Elves? They look great! Thanks. John |

Thank you for your comment. Yes, the Elves set 3 are great, and also big if they are as tall as set 2! But interesting, true. |

Very nice, I did not know they were available in 1/782, what brand are those? |
John Leahy | 10 Dec 2020 10:15 a.m. PST |
Dark Alliance. I believe RedBox is the Parent company. |

Thank you! You're right John, the products of the two brands (Dark Alliance and Redbox) are described on the same website. |

I just started painting around 32 of these troop figures. Thanks for showing me a most excellent painting guide for them! I love that they are mostly covered in metal armor. Painting them should be very quick, and easy. Cheers! |

Thank you Sgt Slag. Hope you will show us the result soon! |

I began a new painting renaissance around three weeks ago. I recently finished 62 Mountain Dwarves, and I started painting 72 Hill Dwarves (1/72 Caesar Dwarves). I have been bitten by the painting bug! I have done more painting in the past three weeks, than I did in the previous five years! I am an army painter, only painting to a GEtGW standard. I am a die hard Dip'er. My figures look good enough, en masse, at arm's length. I recently bought a Mage Knight Chariot, with a Dwarven Driver. I had to install a series of steps/platform for two Dwarves to stand atop, so they could see over the top! I need to finish the two Dwarven crew and glue them to their platform. It looks great, in my totally biased opinion. I will post on that, as soon as I finish the crewmen. Cheers! |

Is that the chariot with the Bull pulling it? I have that one. I'm getting ready to go on a 2.5 week vacation. I plan to 3d print and paint. I can't wait! Thanks, John |

It is the, "War Wagon 109", model. The creature of burden appears to be a naturally armored hippopotamus! It has an obvious Dwarf figure wielding a whip, standing on the creature's right side, atop the harness between it, and the chariot. It is a decent figure, by itself. I had to snip off two sprues used to hold a MK figure base in the back, as a rider. After that, I mounted three layers of MDF, spaced to form steps. I plan to post on it, as soon as I finish painting the rider crew figures. I'll share photo's of the finished project, when completed -- hopefully within the next couple of weeks, if not sooner. Cheers! |

I appreciate that! My son and I have been working on Fantasy armies for One Page Rules Fantasy Regiments. I've got a load of 15mm, 25mm, 28mm and some 6mm fantasy figs/armies. But all the new 1/72 releases made me buy a ton of those sets. Rebel Alpha and Toy soldier HQ sell Dark Alliance sets for &8.99 a box. Too good a deal! Thanks. John |
