I don't understand how the portal counters work or how they are destroyed? |

Hi dragon6, the explanation is in the rules. I know it sounds confusing on first reading, but it rapidly becomes clear when you try it! Basically, PCs are placed as you would a light machine gun to maximise its fire arc. The number of PCs (multiplied by their value of course-so a '3' counter counts as 3 PCs) -which have a clear line of sight to any of the players figures is cross referenced to a D6 roll on a chart. Say 2 single PCs and a 2 PC (total 4) have LOS to your figure(s) throw a D6 at turn start (and get a 4) 4 + 4 = 8 (-1 for the first counter) = 7 – which on the chart says 4 Jaffa appear at one of the observing PCs (randomise which one) PCs have to move if approached within 8" to another good position within 12". If they have no position within 12" they are destroyed and removed from play. There are diagrams in the rules which make it easier to see, hopefully. |
