Today I have posted a comparison of various HO 1/87 scale Panther tanks. Click on the link for more photos.

Quite the difference!

Mike, you didn't state which one is actually 1/87th scale?

A quick check of Wikipedia gives me a body length of 6.87M and a width of 3.27mm, so at 1/87 that's about 79mm in length and 37.5mm wide.

What do you have?

The Roco is the little dark color one and it's well underscale. All the old Roco, Panzer IV, M4 Sherman (Z-101), Panther and older vehicles were under size. The older ones got discontinued right away and replaced with the correct size kits but these soldiered on for decades more.

I have an HO scale ruler and measured it out a few weeks ago, in feet and inches. The Roco is way small. The others are correct.

The Roco vehicles are pretty close to 1:100 scale – so perfect with 15mm stuff
