Hello friends,
I am the author of Borders of Blood, a book recently released by Caliver Books – tinyurl.com/6h83289z
BoB is a wargame system dedicated to War of the Triple Alliance.
This is our Fanpage on Facebook – link
Take care!

I just received my copy of Borders of Blood. After a quick read through I can say I like the game system. It is fairly simple and fast moving.

I have been long interested in the Triple Alliance War (aka, Paraguayan War) and am glad to see a set of rules specifically for the War. We have been using Fire & Fury but converting over looks pretty simple.

Hello John. Thanks you for your kind words. I hope the rules please you. It was a great challenge to develop this system. If you use it in game, please share photos so we can post it on the BoB fanpage on Facebook link

About the Cards, you use the link on page 39? If you cant dl, please tell me your email. I will send to you.

Go ahead and send me a private message and will share my e-mail.

In the meantime, I copied the cards and associated each one with an card from an ordinary deck (thus "Forward" is the ace of spades). The players pull from the resulting deck and refer over to the action cards. A bit of a kluge but it works pretty well.

I have played solo a couple of times and hope to get my usual group together to give it a try. I'll post some pictures after we are done. I'm thinking of doing a scenario of the Battle of Estero Bellaco.

Hi John,
I'm glad you fixed the problem.
I will be very happy to send you the cards in a separate file, but I don't know how to send you a private message. I don't see any tools for that here on your profile.
Can you guide me?
Anyway, my email is victor.barone@globo.com. If you send me an email I will be happy to answer.
I will also be very happy to see pictures of the system in use.
Good games and take care!

"Borders of Blood is a well-presented set of wargames rules, specifically for Wargaming the Parguayan War of 1864 – 1870, dovetailing almost exclusively with the War of Triple Alliance figure range by Perry Miniatures.

Rulesets can either offer something so intriguing, inspiring, or unique that they cause you to venture into a new period – think SAGA, Sharp Practice, or Frostgrave – or they offer a service to gamers who are already ‘into' a period or conflict. Borders of Blood is definitely a solid entrant in this latter category."

Let's try my e-mail. jhtcpa@verizon.net

For some reason, when I use your e-mail address I get a message that your spam filter won't let it through.

This is typical, I have nothing but bad luck with computers.

VictorBarone23 May 2021 2:13 p.m. PST

Weird.
Will send the files now.

John the Greater24 May 2021 6:46 a.m. PST

That worked perfectly. Thank you for the extra effort on my behalf.

Saudações cordiais
