Hey all. Im painting a few ACW 28's (practically all are Perry plastics) for a friend of mine. Hes doing the third day of Gettysburg and wants a few casualty figures painted. About 100 per side!!! Excessive you might think but I have been painting for him for the last year or so. So he does it big – good on him. The thing is that 200 casualty figures is going to cost him an absolute mint. I could do with a few suggestions. Quantity! quality! sanity?? |

Check out Old Glory UK. Here's the code for a package of 30 casualties is WBS31. OG UK has them, but not a picture…this link has picture. link Gotta' admit that photos of unpainted OG figs don't look great, but for some reason they paint up nicely. |

Old Glory's "Infantry Lying Dead" pack is thirty figures for around $35. USD They're stylistically rather different than the Perry sculpts but for casualty figures perhaps it doesn't matter as much, as they're not going to be put into units together. |

The solution I arrived at was simple and satisfies me. When I converted unit flags to Flag Dude flags, I kept the old ones and use them to mark casualties. I use the correct flags for each nationality. They are colorful, easily seen, and don't look out of place. |

Essex have some casualty figures, maybe Dixon as well. |

I have always thought casualty figures were essential to the look of the game despite the cost. I just painted 300 casualtiy figures for my Pony Wars game. |
