Scott Hendrickson from the Lone Star Historical Miniatures (LSHM) club of Texas recently picked up Victory at Sea by Warlord Games. Here are his first impressions:

Very nice write up. Are these rules scale dependent? I have a ton of 1/3000 stuff just gathering dust for the reasons you stated.

Are these rules scale dependent?

No. I would use the exact same range scale and in 1/3000, they will look and function much better.

The only problem is that at the moment you have to buy Warlord's ships to get the ship game stats.

When they release the full rulebook, apparently they will contain all of the ship stats.
