Probably because they didn't know it was "obsolete"? Why would they? If it's big, sink it. A wargamer who has played Pearl Harbor on a board game 20 times would spend his ordinance on … what exactly? Go back to the carrier and reload. Too bad the Yankee carriers weren't there. EDIT: OK. They did know. But the carriers weren't there, so sink something big. They weren't paid to bring unused torpedoes back. |

You only want to fly thru the Flak once. They knew that their targets were suppose to be on that side of Ford Island. You bore in on the target you see where you are suppose to find one. At some point you might note it is not a carrier or maybe you get tunnel vision and its just a ship/target. Ordinance delivered and back to the carrier to rearm and do it again. |
