""The aim of this film is to break a silence: the United States and China may well be on the road to war, and nuclear war is no longer unthinkable," Pilger says in his 2016 documentary The Coming War on China, which you can watch free on Youtube here or on Vimeo here. "In a few years China has become the world's second-biggest economic power," Pilger's introduction continues. "The United States is the world's biggest military power, with bases and missiles and ships covering every continent and every ocean. China is a threat to this dominance, says Washington. But who is the threat? This film is about shifting power, and great danger."…" YouTube link Main page link Amicalement Armand |

Quote from article: "As we've been discussing for years now, the relentless quest of the US-centralized empire-like power alliance for total world domination has put it on a collision course with the surging economic powerhouse of China which refuses to be absorbed into the imperial blob." Biased much? You can quibble all you want, but I'll take a world dominated by the US. |

All it's saying is that China has as much right to be a superpower as the US. Just because they're different from us doesn't mean they don't have the right to be great. So who's biased now? |

So who's biased now? From what I have seen in my 60+ years … pretty much everyone. |

"Just because they're different from us doesn't mean they don't have the right to be great". Call me crazy, but a country that: imprisons and sends off 1+ million ethnic minorities to "re-education camps"; carves citizens up to "harvest" their organs while they are alive; machine guns opponents without warning over possession of an underwater atoll; tortures and kills political opponents; backs the murderous, and corrupt North Korean regime; and inflicts the Wuhan virus on the world, which they knew was contagious so they locked down their own country, while simultaneously permitting citizens to travel outside of China, and also encouraging the WHO and others to falsely claim it wasn't airborne, causing the deaths of millions around the globe, isn't really my definition of "greatness", unless of course they are aspiring to be infamous, and great in the name of evil. |

+1 Thresher. You are not crazy. But too many people see the evil that Communist China perpetrates as normal and equivalent to US foreign policy. |

+2 Thresher. "Just because they're different from us doesn't mean they don't have the right to be great"." Moral equivalence at its best. |

Thresher, you forgot taking over Hong Kong and conveniently arresting all of the opposition while the western press wrings their hands and focuses over the US election. People wondered why no one did anything to stop the Nazis in the 1930s but they they turn a completely blind eye to China. Non-consensual organ harvesting. Think about that. |

To paraphrase Churchill, a world dominated by the USA is the worst possible option, apart from all the other options… I'm hoping the USA will maintain it's dominance for another 40 years. That will see me safely in my grave… |
